Due to recent events, I have decided to at least try to live a healthier life. I’m not making any goals that I’ll eventually forget but I’m trying to take any step I can to live healthier.
I decided to try yoga since I’m not a fan of intense workouts. I felt that yoga’s delicate movements would suit me best.
Today was my first try doing yoga in a class. It was a vinyasa class (open level). Searched vinsaya up and this is what I found:
The word “vinyasa” can be translated as “arranging something in a special way,” like yoga poses for example. In vinyasa yoga classes, students coordinate movement with breath to flow from one pose to the next. Ashtanga, Baptiste Yoga, Jivamukti, Power Yoga, and Prana Flow could all be considered vinyasa yoga. Vinyasa is also the term used to describe a specific sequence of poses (Chaturanga to Upward-Facing Dog to Downward-Facing Dog) commonly used throughout a vinyasa class.

My first experience was great. I had moments when I would not be able to hold the pose or not be straight enough. I can also get too impatient with the slowe transition, but overall I survived it.
The feeling after the workout was what stood apart from other workouts that I’ve tried. It was very relaxing and joyful afterwards but I still feel that I’ve worked out.
Would recommend yoga 100%!
Note: I attended the yoga class in sinag studios. For more info about this place click here for their facebook page. They respond really fast!
